Venus shines at its greatest brilliancy as the morning star on September 21, teamed with Regulus, Jupiter and Mars in the predawn eastern sky for the next month. Mercury joins the lineup in early October.
Venus entered the morning sky on August 15, 2015 in inferior-retrograde conjunction with the sun at 22° Leo and will return as the evening star on June 6, 2016, after their next superior-direct conjunction at 16° Gemini.
